It's not quite known what RSS realy stands for. Some say the abbreviation stands for 'RDF Site Summary' or 'Rich Site Summary'. The most common explanation is 'Really Simple Syndication'. RSS is used to be notified of articles or news about subject that you choose Because your RSS-reader automaticly refreshes, it notifies you when something new has arrived on the site. That way you don't have to check every time your favorite websites.

and size, available for Linux, Macintosh and Windows. Trough google, you
can find a list of RSS-readers (newsreaders) that are most of the time free to use and to download
