THE VITALCARE MS SQL DATABASE
The VitalCare MS SQL Database is the central part of the VitalCare Platform, where all data is stored. It is robust & scalable database. The VitalCare SQL Databases is able to manage simultaneously with crossrelations an unlimited amount of:
-Patients
-Professional Users & Organisations
-Telemonitoring devices
-Medical & Care follow-ups
Furthermore, the VITALCARE MS SQL DATABASE includes several procedures that control data consistency, error tracking, user logs, data history, back-up procedures and triggers for reminders & alerts.
THE VITALWEB .NET SOLUTION
The VITALWEB .NET SOLUTION is the most visible
part of the solution for the patient and the user. It is
accessible over the most frequent used web browsers
(MS Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, …) and soon also over
Mobile Browsers.
LOGIN SCREEN
Each user accesses the data with his login and
password, eventually combined with an extra
certificate or security key. Depending of his profile
the user may or may not access data and
functionalities.
PATIENT FILE
Over the VitalCare Website, the user can access the
patient file and create, add or modify patient data.
The patient file contents administrative data
(personal details, insurances, referring healthcare
professionals), and soon it will be completed with an
e-Health Record including personal and familial
anamnesis, vaccinations, medication, treatments,
risk factors, intolerances, …).
The user can also upload information into the
patient file such as images, pdf’s, word documents,
etc… .
PATIENT LIST
The main access for the user is the patient list. From
there he can consult the patient file as well as the
latest vital sign monitoring reports and alerts.
Navigation is easy and is based on clear menu’s,
filters and pictograms.
MONITORING DATA
Vitalsys monitoring devices are sending the
measurements to the VitalCare platform. The user
accesses the real-time monitoring data of the
patient at home or on the move. All the data is
clearly illustrated and is graphically summarized.
Data can be discarded if the user believes it is
irrelevant. Monitoring data can also be added
manually and the user can consult past monitoring.
The user can also select the way to process the data
and select a relevant period.
REPORTING
The VitalCare platform creates state-of-the-art
reports following medical guidelines and best
practices. The user can select the reports, including
statistics and graphics, he wished to receive by fax,
email, sms or mms on a regular basis. He can also
download the reports in different formats such as
pdf, word or excel and store them into his electronic
Health Record. Furthermore, the user can configure
alerts and thresholds to stay informed of new
events.
USER & PATIENT ADMINISTRATION
The VitalCare platform includes a powerful platform
administration tool. Healthcare organizations and
department heads can easily create new users, new
patients, add new devices and management them.
They can track the platform use and manage the
access to the patients and their data on the
platform.
THE VITALCARE MEDICAL DATA ACQUISITION SERVERS AND AGENTS
On the basis of its state funded research projects and its field trials, Vitalsys developed and installed a flexible, reliable telemedicine data acquisition infrastructure. This infrastructure hosts smart agents that are able to set-up a 2-way communication with telemonitoring devices over PSTN, SMS, GPRS, 3G and IP connectivity.
Incoming data is processed and standardized in order to feed the database. Error codes and inconsistent data are sorted out and stored in specific databases.
THE VITALAGENT INTEGRATION SDK & SECURE WEBSERVICE
The VitalAgent is a secure, automatic webservice that enables integration with third party applications. On the basis of the VitalAgent, the VitalCare platform can operate as a complement of other legacy applications enhancing those with telemonitoring functionalities.
