What is Heart failure?
Heart failure (decompensatio cordis) can best be defined as a clinical syndrome that consists out of a combination of complaints and symptoms that are direct or indirect related to a failure of the pump fuction of the heart. The heart can't pump enough blood around to provide the body with blood that is neccessary.
Heart failure is in fact not a disease, but a bad condition of a vital organ-the heart.
